The tide is turning in Europe

 

 

 

I see more and more European news outlets and blogs such as this one talking about Islamophobia*.  If I was not a Muslim, I guess I would be concerned too, being constantly bombarded by heavily distorted and false propaganda, but really if you understand Islam and how an Islamic state treats and protects dhimmis with high respect and honor, there’s nothing to be afraid of.  And I’ll go even further to say that it’s a much better system than how democracy treats its minorities.

 

          Will Muslims be the majority in Europe in 20 years?  Maybe.

          Could Christianity die out in a century?  Allah knows.

          Is Europe afraid?  Definitely.

          Is there a need to be afraid.  I don’t think so.

 

This blogger seems to think so with her ’see saw’ theory that when Europe is up, Islam is down and vice versa.  She has a point. 

The tides are turning and no one can deny that.  Br. Amr Khaled has stated it publicly as well as Shaykh Yusuf Qaradawi here:

 

 

Someone might view this video and be afraid but there’s nothing to be afraid of.  The truth of God stands clear and everyone is given a choice to accept or decline.

Hello everybody, I’m a Greek Orthodox Christian, and I wanna ask you, why do you think you’re different? I think we all are the same we are all humans and Greeks, and we’re not supposed to count each other different, I was shocked to see Greek Muslims think they are not Greeks or make their own websites as if they were different, I’ll tell ya, we’re all Greeks, athiests, Jews, Musilms or Christians, the most important thing to believe in Allah only! I speak Arabic very fluently, for Muslims who want help in this language, and I know a lot about Islam, so anyone needs help, I’m here : mesow@hotmail.com.

Answer:

Mesow, welcome to the group and thank you for asking us this important question.  Yes, we have some similarities, but we are different. 

• human beings  (same)
• Greek culture (same)
• beliefs (different)

If you watch our video or browse through our blog posts, you will find undoubtedly that our posts are very different than what another Greek blogger would publish because we share different beliefs and therefore live different lifestyles.  Hence, the need for our unique website.

Mesow, let me ask you this, if you believe in Allah (one true God) only, then why are you not a Muslim?

…until Ramadan!  Yaayy!

It’s been a roller coaster ride this year for my iman so I’m really looking forward to Ramadan.  I am starting to make dua that Allah extend my life so that I can fast this Ramadan just like the sahaba did and make it the best of all the past years for me. 

My (non-Muslim) dad and I were talking about the 16-hour fasts this year.  You can imagine the look on his face when we calculated the hours!  He had to ask me more than once if I could drink water during that time! To some non-Muslims, Ramadan seems suicidal. To Muslims, it’s heightened spirituality.  To doctors, it’s prescribed medicine.   To the devils, it’s prison. 

I remember my own reaction to Ramadan before I converted to Islam.  While I agreed with fasting, I thought their method was wrong and pointless.  I mean, why do Muslims have to be so strict with everything?  And what’s all this business about not being able to go to parties and clubs anymore?  After all, what did having fun have to do with food? 

Now, as a Muslim, I am so eager to experience spiritual serenity.  It’s been a ritual of mine to make my ULTIMATE dua list every Ramadan that I will ask Allah for every night insha Allah so I will be doing that soon. 

I followed this advice from an audio I listened to from Shaykh Muhammad Alshareef and alhamdulillah, it’s been spectacular.  I highly recommend it to you, so get out a pen and paper.  Here’s the formula:

1. Go somewhere beautiful with no distractions.
2. Ask yourself, “If Allah told me I could have anything in the dunya and akhira, what would I ask for?”
3. Write out everything — be really EXCITED!!
4. Pick out the top 6 duas and prioritize the list.  Don’t forget to include things in the akhira.
5. Keep this list with you at all times in Ramadan and don’t forget to ask Allah consistently, especially at the best times (i.e. Laylatu AlQadr, Qiyam al-Layl, right before breaking fast etc.)

Why couldn’t you just find a good Greek boy?

I’m sure at one point in time, you’ve heard your mom say this to your or your sibling.  It’s the dream of any mother that you find that perfect Greek spouse.

As exciting as marriage can be, it’s also complicated.  To add to that, many are entering into intercultural marriages (which are permissible), especially in the case of Greek Muslims who are widely spread out around the world. 

Would you rather marry

A few days ago, I stumbled upon a Hellenic polytheist forum (yes they do exist!) where someone insisted (without proof) that Jews, Christians and Muslims worship different gods, so of course I had to chime in to correct this misconception.

Religion must come with proof, so this one is for you.

The word, Allah, is the perfect description that Arabic Jews, Arabic Christians and Muslims (of all cultures) use to refer to God.  For proof of this, all you have to do is go to Arabic lands and talk to people of these three faiths to see it.  You can also look at the Christian Bible to see that they translate God as Allah in Arabic.

In fact, before English was officially used in 1066AD, what do you think people used to refer to God? It would be impossible for Moses, Jesus or Muhammad (peace be upon them all) to say the word God because English didn’t even exist then!

As for the etymology of the word, we can break it down to root letters, which is very similar in Hebrew, Aramaic (the language Jesus spoke -peace be upon him) and Arabic.

 

Note: Christians do believe in the Creator, Allah, but attribute partners or idols to Him.

Did Jesus say Allah?  See for yourself!

Note: for the Passion of the Christ movie, they went to the only place in the world where people still speak the language of Jesus – Aramaic in Syria.

As for the meaning, it literally translates to “the God”, referring to the only One true God.  This word is very unique (unlike English) because it has no gender (cannot be made male or female) and it cannot be made plural. 

In other words, this meaning rejects any human characteristics like god or goddess and also shows that there are no other gods that exist purely from the uniqueness of the word “Allah”.

How amazing is that?!
