I saw those photos and i didn’t find any Greek, all of those men inside Mosque are foreigners. Where are the Greek Moslems which You worry about their religious freedom.
In this site You are saying that is about Greek Muslim life.
The Moslems from any country which they live in Greece, are Greek Moslems for You! I don’t think so.
That’s means if we all have the same logic, and the Romancatholics in Greece no matter what country are coming from are Greeks for the Romancatholic point of view. The Orthodox from other countries are also Greeks? Of course NOT We Orthodox Christians We don’t accept that.
So there is a question here, anyone who lives in Greece is Greek?
And We the Greeks, what We are foreigners? Since We can’t be all of the same heritage and origin with all these people.
You are happy for that? for entering in Greek society anyone whoever he is by only one criterion that of Religion, if We have the same religion is OK then!

  2. Makis on March 30th, 2009 6:35 am

And when you are saying, Greeks Rethink.
You mean all rethinkers of Life are connected to Islam?
Why You gave this name to this site?
It’s a privilege of Islam only to rethink of Life?
    Isn’t that selfish and arrogant?

  3. ImanK on March 30th, 2009 6:45 am

Makis, it is very simple. We are all Muslims in Greek society. That’s it.

  4. ImanK on March 30th, 2009 6:47 am

Thank you for your questions Makis.

When we say Greeks Rethink, we are Greeks who chose to rethink life as we were raised — to analyze, study, investigate the proofs. Every person, regardless of religion is encouraged to think critically. Our conclusion: we found the ultimate truth about life, to worship the Creator of the heavens and the earth and to not worship human beings, animals, sticks or stones.

All muslims (wherever they are from) are brothers

  6. Hayrullah on March 30th, 2009 12:34 pm

ahahahaaaa……How did you differentiate them Maki??

Anyways Ali, you are right. All Muslims are brothers/sisters in faith and in Islam. And all humans are brothers/sisters on another level……that is in humanity.

maybe he has experience of face control to identify the races, but Makis is good at pictures, but not good with letters. if you read the related article you would see that this mosque was just established by the Arab immigrants of Kalamata. What do you think? Should we dress a few greek muslims with fustanella & tsarouhi and going from mosque to mosque and shoot pics? You think there aren’t any? Just wait, and you will find in time how many there are.

A Person like Makis is product of brainwash by education in Greece. I;ve found a book of history of dimotiko written wrongly about Islam. From the elementary school their brainwash kids and providing wrong story about Islam and prophet Muhammad.

Some Greek like Makis can not see the different between Turk and Islam. Islam is Islam, the relegion of peace and purity.

Well, nobody can change his point of view.

    No need to argue.

I understand it, You care about Moslems in general and not about Greek Moslems as You saying. So when You are saying “Greek” Moslems in Greece, You mean Moslems in “Greece” in general.
You see all Moslems as brothers, I understand it it’s natural, but this is meaningless and Romancatholics they saying so and Orthodox saying so also about their people. So what We have? Greeks and non Greeks in Greece are the same, and the only criterion is religion, so if You see the foreigners as Your brothers because they are Moslems, Me for example who I’m not Moslem but I’m Greek You see me in a different view, am I right? it looks like so.

“A Person like Makis is product of brainwash by education in Greece.”

As I saw, You must know me, but I don’t know You.

Can You or any one else tell me one single Islamic country in the world, were the Islam or his Prophet be in dispute freely, name me one country.
If any person in Islamic countries is about to dipute Islam or his Prophet for sure he’ll have penalty and in most cases the penalty is death.
Brainwash in Greece about Islam especially in our days! big mistake to say that.
If any one of You tomorrow repent and he want to return to Orthodoxy, what is gone to happen with him? Can You tell me.
You live in Christian countries you deny Christ and nothing dangerous happens to You, if You done this to a Moslem country would be the same?

    Maki, to answer your questions,

We care about Muslims the same regardless if they are black, white, Greek, purple.

We see you as a brother in humanity, which you also have rights over us. We have to respect you as a person, we must be honest with you, keep your trusts, treat you nicely, respect your freedom of choice to practise your religion, be a good neighbour to you, etc. etc.

  13. ImanK on March 31st, 2009 7:35 am

To answer your last loaded question about about turning away from Islam. Where are you going with this question? In other words, what is it that YOU REALLY want to know?

You are obvioulsy on this site for a reason. Why don’t we just skip all of these warm-up gymnastics and cut to the chase. We can talk clearly and peacefully.

“You are obvioulsy on this site for a reason. Why don’t we just skip all of these warm-up gymnastics and cut to the chase. We can talk clearly and peacefully. ”

What reason? I simply say what I’m thinking I saw this site when I was searching for something else.
But I have been as turist to Moslem countries and I have speak with people there as Greek in middle east those countries which in older times were the same state, and I know very well what I’m saying.
And remember the people there when speaks with someone who trust him (not westerners) is more open to talk and you can hear thinks that you never can imagine, because of the fear by their social enviroment.
There many of them they don’t feal free at all to declare their opinion openly, or to live their life as they want to, you may don’t like what I’m writing but it’s true.
Except You think that all Moslem coutries are Paradise, and all other countries are Hell.
