ΤΟ θεμα αυτο ειναι παρομοιο με το -our Father in heaven……….- και για αλλη μια φορα μας επισημαινει οτι ειναι καιρος να αλλαξουν πολλα στα σχολεια ,δεν ειναι σωστο τα παιδια να γελανε με τοσο σοβαρα πραγματα οπως η προσευχη και η θρησκεια ,απο την αλλη βεβαια φταιει η αγωγη που παιρνουν απο το σπιτι, αυτο κανει ολο το κακο γιατι για ποιες ορθοδοξες οικογενειες μιλαμε? ποιος γονιος μιλαει σημερα στα παιδια του για τη θρησκεια του? ποιες οικογενειες μαθαινουν στα παιδια τους το λογο του θεου? ασ μην γελιομαστε σημερα οι περισσοτεροι ειναι ορθοδοξοι στα χαρτια και αθεοι στην ουσια,ακομη και την ανασταση συγκεντρονεται η νεολαια εξω απο την εκκλησια οχι για να ακουσει τα λογια του παππα αλλα για να πεταξουν δυναμιτακια ,να δειξουν την καινουργια μινι φουστα και για να μαζευτει ολη η παρεα για να φυγουν μετα για κανενα μπαρακι.
Ας αρχισουμε πρωτα να μαθαινουμε στα παιδια μας να αγαπουν και να πιστευουν στο Θεο και μετα ας φτασουμε στα υπολοιπα………..

What a statement to make!
To me sounds no different than saying ” Whites at the front row, yellow middle row , blacks at the back row and so on.
Sweetening the pill by adding” within the spirit of cooperation” does nothing at all. Discrimination in all its glory.

School Assemblies in Uk are held regulary and really reflect and show consideration to the multicultural backgrounds and faiths of all pupils.

There is no front or back row.
The assembies are held regularly and they have different themes each time.
If it is a Jewish, Christian, Hindu , Muslim important calendar day or Mothers’ day, or Harvest Day etc , thats what they talk about.
The children are exposed to other cultures and religious beliefs on a regular basis and it certainly makes them tolerant and respectful towards othe rethnic origins and religious beliefs.

When I was growing up in Greece I clearly remember that my main worry was not to be pulled up to recite the morning prayer with no thought at all of the spiritual meaning of the prayer and that is all I remember. I never felt a spiritual lift or even aquired any lifetime skills during those every day “events”.
